CAREER OVERVIEW
An extremely happy jack of all trades and a master of many!
I have wide and varied experience with some accolades in the construction of boats, ships, homes, commercial buildings, dams, electrical installations, engineering, plumbing, fine furniture, cars and motorbikes. I have operated and worked with drill rigs, cranes, excavators, bobcats, loaders, dump trucks, fishing vessels to 65ft, race cars/trucks, welders, farm machinery and tree felling.
Professional Extreme Snowboard Athlete
I have achieved the equivalent to world champion status in Freeride snowboarding by winning the most elite invitation only, big mountain event in Switzerland- the Engadin Snow.
In 1991, I purchased the 1st of 27 round the world tickets and commenced a degree in the university of life. In travel I found a passion for snowboarding, which excelled me into a professional career. A general passion was also found in all x-sports that I also practice at a high level. To date, I have traveled to 48 countries competing, working and in search of my dreams. 37 companies have sponsored me in my career, ranging from corporate blue chips to small sporting manufactures. My career highlights are the first descent of Ilumpu, Bolivia at 6,368 meters, and the first descent of Jan Mayen Volcano, at 2,277 meters via a North Pole/Greenland sailing expedition. Pioneering numerous first descents via extreme helicopter drop offs into highly exposed ridge lines, has given me nerves of steel.
I am a sales/marketing management professional with 25 years’ experience in the media industry; I have worked on newspaper, web, television and film products. I have a proven track record of developing new international business and motivating a team to consistently exceed targets. I am a motivational speaker who has motivated many thru my experiences. I have recently retired from the sports industry and am now working in new professional challenges.
My passions aside from my family are, in personal development, assisting others to be all they can be, sports and health and eco construction.
